God Uses The NFL To Be Glorified!

Last night my favorite NFL team the Chicago Bears had 5 interceptions in their loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The entire Bear Nation was licking our wounds and being humiliated for our loyalty.

However I discovered fellow Bears' fans online who were making very interesting and funny tweets about the game and I followed them since we have the Bears in common.

Then earlier this afternoon, I made the following tweet (http://bit.ly/1ev4Fs) which stated:

I really don't think archangel Michael said a word at all before ejecting satan:) #unsung

8 minutes later, a tweet asked:

@seedoflife where in the Bible can u read about that?

I went offline before seeing the question and thought others may be interested as well which is why this post has been created.

Here are Scriptures which detail the scenario of satan's ejection from heaven with a third of the angels along with other Scriptures on the spiritual warfare.

I have provided these Scriptures without any other commentary although I reserve the right to add some later:)

Peace!

Luke 10:18 states (http://ping.fm/rMNQW):

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Revelation 12:7-9 states (http://ping.fm/p6OFU):

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

2 Corinthians 4:4 reads (http://ping.fm/61Jdj):

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Ephesians 6:12 reads (http://ping.fm/iZRtx):

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Revelation 9:1-5 states (http://ping.fm/OmcAZ):

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

and finally Revelation 20:1-3 reads (http://ping.fm/EAGOA):

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

In the meantime I feel it necessary to add that the question did not arise within a Bible study or church setting but online through a discussion of a pop culture topic.

We must spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our biblical understanding within and outside of the four walls if we are going to reach a dying world with the living Word of God.

There are many equipped to work within either setting very proficiently as well as in both arenas. But no one has the right to exclude any territory or declare any arena off limits to the Kingdom of God in spirit and truth.

If opportunities such as this require the Chicago Bears losing, may they never win another game again:)

But God shall be glorified everywhere at all times!!!

Hallelujah!
